Abstract

124,046. Benneche, J. C. March 13, 1918. Paints.-75 kg. dry colour, such as zinc white or lithopone, is made into a. paste with linseed oil and petroleum. This is mixed with a paste of 5 kg. burnt lime slaked with water, together with linseed oil and petroleum. Soap jelly is then added, formed by boiling 10 kg. yellow soap with 4 litres of water and subsequently cooling. Further linseed oil and petroleum and a varnish consisting of 16 kg. resin melted in 10 litres linseed oil, and 5 litres terebene, are then added successively.
