Abstract

1,240,071. Dental stands. KALTENBACH & VOIGT. 18 Feb., 1969 [28 Feb., 1968], No. 8835/69. Heading A5R. A dental unit 1 has a support 2 supporting at its upper end a vertically pivotable cantilever arm 4 with a holding head 16 for instruments pivotably connected to the free end thereof such that when the arm is pivoted upwards and downwards the attitude of the holding head 16 relative to the horizontal remains constant, the said base 2 extending obliquely upwards from the dental unit 1, the dental unit being pivotable about a vertical axis, on pivotable running wheels (6), Fig. 1, (not shown) or on a bearing 8 in a horizontal arm 7, Fig. 2. The arm 7 is itself pivotable on a bearing 9 in a pedestal body 10 which contains supply equipment including a glass tumbler 11 and water supply 12 and additional devices 13, and also a spittoon basin 14 adapted to be pivoted out of the body 10. Mounted in an end face of the holding head 16 and pivotable about a vertical axis at one of its ends is a support 19 for instrument holders 18, holding instruments 17. A handle 21 is mounted on support 19.
