Abstract

1,272,456. Dental stands. SIEMENS A.G. 24 Oct., 1969 [26 Oct., 1968], No. 52331/69. Heading A5R. A dental treatment assembly comprises a vertically adjustable chair 1 mounted on a base 6 and supporting on one side a dental unit housing 10 with a support arm 12 mounted on the upper surface 11 thereof, which support arm is pivotable about a vertical axis 15 and carries at its free end a dental appliance unit, and a spittoon unit also mounted on the upper surface 11. The support arm 12 is also pivotable about a horizontal axis 16 and a counterbalanced parallelogram arm 39 supporting a tray 24 is provided as described in specification 1,272,455. The spittoon unit comprises a bowl 26, tumbler 27 and a filling tap 28. On the end of the unit nearest the head of the chair a strong-suction nozzle 31 and saliva extractor 32 are mounted in supports in a housing 33. Operating push buttons 30 are also provided at this end for the tap 28 and operation of a syringe 22 at the free end of the support arm 12. The housing 10 is movable longitudinally of the chair as described in specification 1,272,457.
