123,404. Culling, G. H. Feb. 21, 1918. Drawings to Specification. Apparatus fitted to cranes.-In a sheer for unloading barges &c. wherein the upper ends of the two legs of the sheer are connected by a rod extending along the wharf, means are provided for traversing a chain hoist carrying a weighing-appliance, along the rod so that after the load has been weighed in the boat and raised by the sheer legs, the chain hoist, weighing-appliance and load may be traversed along the wharf. To enable more than one barge to be served at a time, a second rod connecting two sheer legs is employed together with an additional chain hoist and weighing-means, and, if desired, additional traversing means.
