Abstract

1,232,161. Gripper mechanism for printing &c. machines. POLYGRAPH LEIPZIG KOMBINAT FUR POLYGRAPHISCHE MAS. CHINEN UND AUSRUSTUNGEN. 23 June, 1969, No. 31598/69. Heading B6C. A sheet-gripper for a printing or other sheet processing machine has the surface 6 of the fixed jaw 7 of the gripper formed by the ends of a number of laminµ 9 secured to the cylinder 1 of the machine by bolts 10 passing through elongated holes 8 in the laminµ. By suitable adjustment of the laminµ relative to one another, the clamping surface 6 may have a grooved configuration. Further, the ends of the laminµ adjacent to the surface 6 may be tapered or chamfered. A number of jaws 7 may be spaced from one another parallel to the cylinder axis, in which case a separate movable jaw 4 co-operates with each fixed jaw 7.
