Abstract

1,230,252. Transport containers. BURGER EISENWERKE A.G. 15 May, 1969 [17 May, 1968], No. 24924/69. Heading B8P. [Also in Division A4] A transport container, with or without shelves 6, is provided at one side with a door 4 surrounded by a frame 8 which is received within an associated portion of a metal frame 2 of the container and is hinged, at 7, to the frame 2 at its upper edge, the door 4 being provided with a plurality of locking elements 5 distributed over its surface for engagement with complementary locking parts on the frame 2 and/or the shelves 6 and the door 4 comprising upper and lower parts which are foldable about an horizontal hinge 10. The elements 5 may comprise latches which are operated externally of the door by a square section key to engage pins (20) or slots with a snap action. Packings 9, 17 seal the container when the door is closed.
