Abstract

1,227,864. Building panels; room units. H. BOLLIGER. 29 March, 1968, No. 15340/68. Headings E1A and E1B. A building panel 1 comprising two shims interconnected by webs to reinforcing tubes all made of fibre reinforced polyester and having spaces therebetween filled with foamed polystyrene is interconnected with adjacent panels by bolts passing through aligned holes in chamferred edges of the panels and triangular elements 6, 7. The panels are connected end to end by projecting ends 8 of the tubes 3 being pushed into enlarged end portions 9, the joint being sealed by a resilient ring 12 fixed in annular groove 10 and engaging annular groove 11. Panels may be connected together to form room units having services connected continuously around the room.
