1416832 Prefabricated buildings D L STELP 30 May 1973 25677/73 Headings E1A and E1W In a building having a floor, side walls and a roof each formed by a series of prefabricated channel-shaped panel units 31 arranged side by side and wherein each unit comprises a web portion with a pair of opposed flanges at right angles thereto, the abutting flanges of adjacent units in the floor, wall and roof are respectively fixed to one another and the units in the wall are fixed to those in the floor and the roof by panel joiner members 57 which are sandwiched in the joints therebetween and project into the joints between the adjacent flanges of the floor and roof units. Additional spacer units 61 are used in the joints between the floor units and the roof units and all joints may incorporate a polyurethane foam sealing tape; the upstanding flanges 41 of the roof units being capped by glass-fibre-reinforced plastics member 63. Each panel unit comprises a core of rigid foamed plastics with a skin of glass-fibre reinforced plastics. For connection between an end wall panel and the roof and floor panels Figs. 4 and 5, (not shown), should be referred to respectively.
