Abstract

1,273,052. Panels or posts; partitions. COMPAGNIE DE SAINT-GOBAIN. 7 July, 1969 [9 July, 1968], No. 34174/69. Headings E1B and E1W. A panel or post comprising a core 1 of cellular material e.g. polyurethane foam, and enclosed by two half shells 2, 3 incorporates a connector of e.g. H-shape, one arm 4 of which is arranged in the core 1 and the other arm of which is outside the shell, the transverse arm 6 passing through the space between the two half shells. Two panels to be joined, are arranged with the respective connectors in opposed spaced relationship and glued together by a flexible joint [Fig. 2]. The said respective connectors may be profiled for mutual interlocking [Fig. 3]. The panel may be planar on one side and the connectors modified accordingly [Fig. 4]. The panels are closed by end caps [Fig. 5] or by a layer of concrete/plastics. Electrical conduits may be provided in the post which also includes a hollow metal inner core serving in the attachment of the post to a floor board [Figs. 11, 12].
