Abstract
1,226,656. Urine collection aid. T. N. GARLAND. 9 July, 1968 ]26 July, 1967], No. 32719/68. Heading B1X. A substantially funnel-shaped collapsible urine collection aid has walls converging to define a bottom outlet for at least partial insertion within an inlet opening of a collection container 60, and stabilizing means comprising flap 50 hingedly connected to the aid for fastening it to the container, for example by means of a contact adhesive on the lower end of the flap. The collection aid is initially obtained by pleating and folding a blank 12 (Fig. 1 not shown), tab 57 by the bottom outlet being formed when the outlet is cut. The collection aid is opened for use by moving flap 50 outwardly when wall 54 straightens. The preferred material is thermoplastic-coated paper.
