Abstract

1,161,713. Boxes. REED PAPER GROUP Ltd. 22 March, 1968 [24 April, 1967], No. 18862/67. Heading B8P. A blank for a casing for a flexible bag 7 with a tap &c. 8, comprises panels 1-4 which are folded to form a tube, and end panels, e.g. 12, 14, which provide double thickness end walls. The panels 12 have parts removed to provide an opening 13 so that they do not underlie a flap 19. Lines 15, 18, defined by at least one cut, define the flap 19, hinged at 17, and a removable portion 20. Upon removing the portion 20 and bending the flap 19 back, the tap 8 is pulled out. The flap 19 is then re-placed, with the tap 8 retained by its flanges 11. The end panels 12 &c. are secured by a strip of gummed paper (6), Fig. 2 (not shown).
