Abstract

1,234,567. Carrying devices for bags. COLODENCE Ltd. 20 June, 1968 [22 June, 1967], No. 28870/67. Heading A4G. A carrying device for a bag 2 comprises a semi-circular strip 3 of stiff material such as cardboard, strawboard, P.V.C., or metal, provided with partial cut-outs forming tongues 6 having heads 7 wider than stems 8. The tongues 6 are threaded through holes 9 or slits in the marginal portions of the bag mouth, and the heads 7 ar pushed through the cut-outs in the strip and drawn down the stem cut-out portions 10 to provide loops 11. Tongues 6 may be T-shaped. A cut-out (4, Fig. 1) in strip 3 provides a hand-hold (5). The bag 2 comprises -flexible material such as paper, thin card, or a film of cellulose, polyethylene, polypropylene or P.V.C., and it may be non-, side-, or bottom-gussetted.
