Abstract

1,226,323. Catamarans. NATIONAL RESEARCH DEVELOPMENT CORP. 19 March, 1968 [22 March, 1967], No. 13516/67. Heading B7A. A catamaran-type ship has a plate member 3 joining the two hulls at the fore end below the still water line, the member being inclined at a zero or small angle of incidence. A spandeck 2 extends between the hulls. The member 3 may be of hydrofoil section and may be pivotal or have an adjustable flap at the trailing end. A series of members 3 may be provided along the length of the ship.
