Abstract
1,226,241. Stainless steel. CARRIER CORP. March 10, 1969 [June 7, 1968], No.,12513/69. Heading C7A. [Also in Division F4] A tubular heat exchange coil within the evaporator of an absorption refrigeration machine (see Division F4) is formed from a non-hardening ferritic stainless steel alloy containing 0À04 to 0À08% carbon, 0À20 to 1À00% manganese, 0À40 to 1À00% silicon, 10À50 to 11À75% chromium, 0À20 to 0À50% nickel, 0À20 to 0À75% titanium and the balance iron, all percentages being by weight. The compositions of three preferred alloys having constituents within these ranges, are given.
