Abstract

1,224,842. Removing fleshy matter from furskin. KARA KOZESNICK• ZAVODY N‡RODN� PODNIK. April 10, 1969 [July 26, 1968], No.18409/69. Heading C6C. Furskin is processed to remove fleshy matter by conveying it between supporting conveyor belts 2, 3, 4 and holding belts 8, 12 past two transversely moving driven rotary bladed heads 20, 28, the heads being arranged so that each moves between the longitudinal outer line of the skins and one of the sides of the conveyer, and one of the holding belts being arranged opposite each of the heads so that the holding belt 8 associated with head 20, which traverses belt 3, lies over belt 2 and the holding belt 12 associated with head 28, which traverses belt 2, lies over belt 3. The two holding belts are spaced laterally by the width of the narrow belt 4, and as shown each passes over three rollers arranged in a triangle, the rollers 10, 13 supporting adjacent ends of the holding belts being on a common shaft which is driven in synchronism with the belts 2-4, the latter being carried by three rollers 5-7. Additional small rollers 16-19 are arranged above and below the belts in the areas in which the heads 20, 28 operate, i.e. each extends over the width of one of the belts 2, 3 and also over the width of belt 4. Transverse movement of the heads is effected by centrally pivoted levers 22 acted on by cams 24 which are geared together by gears 25. The drives to the rotary heads are via belts 26 and pulley 27 from shafts on the pivotal axes of the levers 22.
