Abstract

1357279 Endless conveyers SUNTEX Ltd 20 Oct 1972 [4 Nov 1971] 48475/72 Heading B8A A conveyer comprises two pairs of parallel endless belts A, B, and C, D, the spacing between the belts of each pair being adjustable. The belts carry needles 19 for engaging the selvage of cloth strips X, Y. The belts A, B are driven by sprockets 5, 6 carried by a drive shaft 7, and the belts C, D are driven by sprockets 11, 12 carried by a drive shaft 10. Alternatively, the sprockets are rotatably mounted on the drive shaft 7 and are integral with chain wheels (20, 21, Fig. 2) connected to chain wheels (22, 23) carried by the drive shaft 10. Each pair of belts is contained in a housing 15 carrying slides 16 which engage guide rails 17, 18, movement of the slides 16 varying the belt separation.
