Abstract
1,224,804. Sintered nickel base alloy. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO. Ltd. Oct. 2, 1969, No.49463/68. Headings C7A and C7D. Sintered nickel base alloys, suitable for making gas turbine blades, comprises: - the balance, apart from impurities, being Ni in an amount of at least 56%. The alloys may be made by forming a melt thereof, atomizing the melt, pressing the powder, mechanically or hydrostatically, (e.g. with a pressure of 25-35 tons/in<SP>2</SP> and vacuum sintering at such a temperature that a liquid phase is present but no loss of shape occurs (e.g. at 1300-1335‹ C.).
