An alloy consists in percent by weight of:- C 0À05-0À25 Cr 5-8 Mo 0À5-4 Ti 0À5-2 Al 4À5-6À5 Co 1-10 W 4-8 Re 0-2 Hf 0À2-3 Zr 0À01-0À50 B 0À005-0À2 Ta 6-10 Nb 0-2 V 0-1 Ni balance. the alloy having a stress rupture life at 15, 000 psi at 2000‹ F. of at least 20 hours, and the sum of the contents of Mo, W and Ta being between 15-20%, there being more Ta than W but more W than Mo. The alloy may be used for contrusting blades for turbine engines.
