Abstract

121,961. Riva, M. Oct. 13, 1917, [Convention date]. Crank linkages.-In an engine having cylinders parallel or inclined to a central axis, the pistons are connected to an inclined disk 3 mounted in a gimbal ring 4 and having a shaft 12 which slides in a ball joint 15 mounted in a. rotating member 13. The inclined disk is pivoted to the ring 4 which turns about pins 6 in an adjustable member 7<1>. To vary the stroke and adjust the clearance spaces of the cylinders, the member 7<1> and the drum 16 carrying the disk 13 are provided with cam grooves 7a, 16<a> in which slides a pin 17 mounted on a ring 18, adjustment of which moves the disks 3, 13 towards or away from each other.
