Abstract

1,219,578. Valves; tube joints. HORNE ENG. CO. Ltd. 9 May, 1968 [3 May, 1967], No. 20434/67. Headings F2G and F2V. The temperature within pipe-line or vessel 2 is controlled by flow through a valve 1 having an inlet 5, outlet 6 and a thermal element within a tube 4 extending into the vessel. The valve is attached to the vessel by a nut 10 which clamps a soldered ring 9 on tube 4 against a sealing ring 14 on the end of a spigot 12 fixed to the vessel. The valve can be angularly orientated as desired prior to tightening nut 10.
