Abstract

1426799 Valves FELLINGSBRO VERKSTADER AB and ERIK SORBERG ARMATURFABRIK AB 28 Aug 1973 [7 Sept 1972] 40455/73 Heading F2V [Also in Division F4] A valve arrangement for diverting up to 60% of the hot water from a single-tube system into a radiator and connected via a pipe 8 to a second valve 7 for connection to an outlet 3 at the bottom of the radiator, which second valve allows flow from an inlet 9 of the valves to pipe 8 at all times but which can prevent flow from the outlet 3 to the outlet 10 of the valve or throttle the flow from inlet 9 to outlet 10. The closure member of the valve 7 is provided with a screw-threaded portion 20, a waisted portion 22 and head 21 of opposed frusto-conical surfaces which act as closure and throttling surfaces. When both valves are closed the radiator can be dismantled without interrupting the supply flow. The valve 6 is also used to control the supply to the radiator and is provided with stops on an adjustable member 27. The connections between the valves and the radiator and pipe 8 are designed to allow for a certain degree of manipulation. [GB1426799A]
