Axial-flow type; balacing moving parts. - A compact turbine comprises a high-pressure section 6 supplied with motive fluid by a pipe 16 and discharging into the parts 7, 8 of a divided lowpressure section arranged on either side of the section 6, the conduit leading to the section 7 being formed between the inner and outer casings 10, 22, while the exhaust housing 26, 27 is arranged and secured as shown. End pressure on the drum 9 is balanced by the fluid thrust on a ring 19. Specifications 18429/10 and 100,484 are referred to.
