Abstract
1,217,840. Cartons. BOXFOLDIA Ltd. 13 May, 1968 [6 June, 1967], No. 25942/67. Heading B8P. A blank for a carton has one side coated or laminated with plastics, siliconed paper &c. (shown shaded) not able to accept adhesive, the blank having gussets 11b, 12b, Fig. 3, between sidewalls 11, 12 and being folded flat, Fig. 1, with certain of the uncoated, &c. surfaces of the gusset panels secured by adhesive to the adjacent uncoated wall panels, so that when erected, Fig. 2, the carton has the plastics, &c. coating &c. on the inside and the gusset panels on the outside, tabs and slots 14, 15 on the wall panels interengaging to prevent inward collapse of the walls 12. In a modification, corresponding interengaging projections and slots (25, 28), Figs. 4 ... 6 (not shown), are provided below the top edge of the erected carton. The carton may be hexagonal, octagonal, &c. in shape and have a lid, either integral or separate. As shown, the gusset panels 12b are stuck to the wall panels 12, but one gusset may be stuck to one wall panel while two others are stuck to another wall panel, &c.
