Abstract
1,217,798. Thermal storage heaters. G. BAUKNECHT G.m.b.H. ELEKTROTECHNISCHE FABRIKEN. 14 Nov., 1969 [14 Nov., 1968], No. 55826/69. Headings F4S and F4U. An electrically heated ceramic core heats, at least partially by radiation, a liquid heat exchanger located in a chamber formed in the core. The heat exchanger is formed of metal and may comprise two pipes which are joined by longitudinal fins, Fig. 1 (not shown), or by attachment to a plate, Fig. 2 (not shown). The plate may be spring urged against a wall of the chamber, Fig. 3 (not shown). If the two pipes are not joined, they may have radial or helical fins which may touch the walls of the chamber, Figs. 4 and 5 (not shown). The heat exchanger may alternatively be formed by securing a corrugated plate to a flat plate. Fig. 6 (not shown), or by securing two corrugated plates together, Fig. 7 (not shown).
