Abstract

1,217,313. Container closures. ARMSTRONG CORK CO. 16 April, 1968 [16 Jan., 1967], No. 2139/67. Heading B8T. A resilient, preferably thermoplastics, cover 1 for an aerosol or other container, has an increased cross-section portion 2 integrally formed with a locking ring 4 on its inner surface and a tab 5 on its outer surface. On each side of the tab the portion 2 and a shoulder 3 are weakened to ease the breaking of the locking ring 4. The ring 4 extends at least partially around the inner surface of the cover. Tab 5 can alternatively extend downwardly or outwardly.
