Abstract

1,214,973. Removing buttons &c. A J. MINASY. 24 Nov., 1967 [7 Dec., 1966], No. 26012/70. Divided out of 1,214,972. Heading A3H. [Also in Division B3] A bladed cutter 88 is used to sever through the shank 44 of a tack 42 and through a button element 28 threaded thereon. The tack and button form part of a label securing arrangement described in Specification 1,214,972; the tack shank 44 passes through a piece of sheet material 25 and label 24, the label being held in place by a substantially cylindrical button 28 threaded on to the tack shank. For removal of the label 24 the button 28 is accommodated in an aperture 84, formed in a support 82, and rests against an abutment 86 located beneath the support. The bladed cutter 88, supported in guides 90, is moved under the action of a solenoid (not shown) to sever the lower portion of the button and shank.
