Abstract
1,214,972. Seals. A. J. MINASY. 24 Nov., 1967 [7 Dec., 1966], No. 53505/67. Heading B6P. [Also in Divisions B8 and F2] A label 24 is secured to a sheet 25, for example part of a garment, by a tack 44 the end 46 of which is bent over to engage a button 34. The button is of such thickness that it can subsequently be cut at right angles to the axis, together with the stem of the tack, to release the label. The button is preferably of high density low-friction plastics with an enlarged flange 30, a reduced portion 32, and a recess 36. The arrangement will be used to secure in place a label having an embedded electronic circuit which operates an alarm if merchandise bearing the label is removed from the premises with the label in place.
