Abstract
1372211 Labelling KNOGO CORP 15 Oct 1971 [23 Oct 1970] 48087/71 Heading B8F [Also in Divisions F2 and B6] A label 24 is secured to an article of merchandise, e.g. clothing by means of a tack-like fastener 44 which passes through both and engages in the bore 27 of a plastic button 26 where its point 46 is bent over to secure the assembly. A snap-on closure cap 48 covers the bent over pin point and the button assembly fits into a recess 54 on the face of the label. The arrangement prevents the label from being removed by a felon. A price ticket (60) (Fig. 6, not shown) may be placed between the label and the button. The assembly is released by slicing through the button and shank 44 with a blade in a special jig when the article is sold. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 1,214,972.
