Abstract

A bolt 5 for fastening two mutually sliding panels or windows 1, 2 is carried in a sleeve 6 in one of the sliding elements and biassed to the releasing position by a spring 19, the sleeve having a cam-shaped end face 17 engaging a pin 21 projecting from the bolt such that by rotating the bolt by means of knob 20, it may be engaged with a hole 22 in the other sliding element, or disengaged from it. The bolt lodges in the fastening position by virtue of notches 18. An intermediate notch (24) providing a frictional engagement of the end of the bolt with the panel may be provided (Figs. 4 and 5, not shown).
