Walls.-Walls and chimneys are provided with a damp or drip course consisting of plates or tiles of burnt clay, cement, metal, &c. of the form shown in Fig. 2, and consisting of a body part d and side extensions b, c. Fig. 1 shows a. section of a chimney or flue with the drip-course in position, the upwardly-directed extensions b forming, with the inner surface of the chimney, a channel f in which the water collects and, passing through the wall above the drip-course, escapes to the outer side of the wall.
