Abstract
1,208,868. Non - contact - making relays. MARCONI CO. Ltd. 22 Feb., 1968 [2 May, 1967], No. 20326/67. Heading H3B. A non-contact-making relay responsive to changes in fluid pressure comprises a rectangular hysteresis loop magnetic core 5 having an input winding 6, supplied with A.C., and an output winding 7, and a magnetic member 4, the position of which in relation to the core is controlled by fluid pressure in chamber 2 by means of a diaphragm. Movement of magnet 4 varies the saturation of core 5 and hence the coupling between windings 6 and 7. The device may be used to provide an electrical output from a wall attachment effect or other fluidic or pneumatic device.
