An electro-pneumatic transducer comprises a housing defining a feed-back chamber 18 within which is located an electromagnetic armature and coil device 21-25 responsive to a D. C. current signal to position a baffle member 28 with respect to a nozzle 29 of a diaphragm relay valve assembly 37 which includes a signal pressure chamber 38, supply and exhaust valves 48, 49 and a diaphragm actuating chamber 51, the signal pressure chamber 38 being connected by a passage 55 to the feedback chamber within which is located pressure responsive means mechanically connected to the baffle. The electromagnetic device comprises a cup-shaped stator 21 having a permanent magnet core 22 embraced by a cylindrical member 25 carrying the signal receiving coil 23 and attached to the baffle member 28. A viscous liquid 27a in a recess 27 provides damping. In operation, the coil 23 receives a D.C. input signal and moves the baffle 28 to change the pressure in the relay valve chamber 51. The resulting movement of the diaphragm assembly 39, 40 causes the signal chamber 38 to be connected either to supply via the valve 48 or to exhaust via the valve 49 so that the pressure in the chamber 38 follows the input signal. The pressure in the chamber 38 is transmitted via the line 56 to indicating and/or controlling apparatus and to the feed-back chamber 18 to act on a set point bellows 30 movement of which is transmitted to the baffle 28 via a spring member 31 and an adjustable spacer 33.
