Abstract

1,208,632. Urea phosphate. POWER-GAS CORP. Ltd. 20 March, 1969 [11 March, 1968], No. 11714/68. Addition to 1,149,924. Heading C2C. Urea phosphate (H 2 N-CO-NH 2 .H 3 PO 4 ) is produced from urea and phosphoric acid in a continuous process in which (a) urea phosphate crystals are produced from an aqueous feed solution of phosphoric acid and urea, (b) the crystals are dissolved to form an aqueous solution from which a supersaturated solution of urea phosphate is obtained, (c) the supersaturated solution is mixed with a suspension of forming and growing crystals of urea phosphate, and (d) grown crystals of urea phosphate are separated from the mixture.
