Abstract
1335456 Production of liquid fertilizers INSTYTUT NAWOZOW SZTUCZNYCH 21 April 1971 [21 April 1970] 10331/71 Heading C1A Liquid fertilizers are produced by a process which comprises forming a solution having a pH not lower than 10 from reactants including concentrated phosphoric acid obtained by the wet-process method and potassium hydroxide, and continuously feeding the reactants to the solution in the same proportions as used to form the solution to maintain the pH of the solution not lower than 10, while simultaneously agitating the solution. The reactants may include also a nitrogen-containing compound selected from urea and alkali metal nitrates. Preferably the reaction is effected at a temperature not higher than 60‹ C. When a fertilizer having a weaker alkaline reaction is required the pH value of the solution may be lowered to 9À5 by adding superphosphoric acid.
