Abstract

1,207,222. Drying flexible material. FUJI SHUSHIN FILM K.K. 8 March, 1968, No. 11582/68. Heading F4G. In drying flexible material (e.g. material coated with a photographic emulsion) the material 1 is moved helically around at least one perforated cylindrical chamber 2 supplied with air by pipe 3, and is dried by the air streams issuing from the perforations 4, the air streams supporting the material in a floating condition and balancing the tension applied to the material. The velocity, temperature and humidity of the air streams may be controlled.
