Abstract
1,205,775. Producing particles of fats. INTERFETT SPECIAL FETTPRODUKTE G.m.b.H. & CO. K. G. and E. GROLITSCH. 20 Dec., 1967 [20 Dec., 1966], No. 57751/67. Addition to 1,164,462. Heading B5A. Fats and oils or mixtures thereof, are converted into a fine crystallized powder of particle size below 100 Á, according to the process of Specification 1,164,462, by delivering the fluid materials through a horizontal heated cylinder 1 to nozzles 2 thereof which are inclined in the direction towards which nozzles 5 each direct pressure air or gas on to a nozzle 2 to atomize the fluid into particle streams. Cooling air or gas is directed into the streams from a duct 8, via horizontally extending slots 6 and 11, the direction and size whereof are adjustable by opposed slot walls respectively displaceable about pivots 10, 12.
