Cables.-The electric cables described in the parent Specification have the insulation between the conductors made of rubber in an elastic or compressible condition or of other elastic and compressible insulating material whereby the conductors after being twisted round each other, as described in Specification 118,199, may be extended. As shown in Fig. 2, the separating strip b is formed with a continuous air cavity d. The thickness of the strip b is preferably great as compared with the minimum thickness of the overall insulation c.
