Abstract

1,203,942. Clamps. BRITISH INSULATED CALLENDERS CABLES Ltd. 8 March, 1968 l [10 March, 1967], No. 11377/67. Heading E2B. [Also in Divisions C4, C5, B3 and H2] A connector for an earth continuity conductor to be secured to a lead sheath 8 of a cable is formed by a clamp 1 having two arcuate copper members pivotally connected together at one end by a bolt 3 and pins 4 and connected together at the other end by a bolt 9. Each arcuate member has a recess 6 filled with plumbers solder. A clip to be tightened on a body to be soldered may form or carry one or more receptacles for exothermic material for providing the soldering heat. Each receptacle may be a trough of arcuate shape and the troughs are preferably on diametrically opposite sides of the clip and have securable lids.
