120,390. Structural Pressed Steel Wheel Co., (Assignees of Lachman, M.). Nov. 2, 1917, [Convention date]. Disk wheels.-A wheel comprises a pair of sheet-metal disks 3 secured to an inner spider formed from bars 1 of channel, angle, &c. section, welded &c. together as shown, the disks abutting against the flanges of the built-up spoke elements. The disks may be cupped at 11 to form a boss, and the wheel centre may be reinforced by a flange 6. At the periphery, the disks are preferably channelled to provide an extended seat 7 for the rim 2, and housings 8 for bracebars 10.
