Abstract
1,195,740. Sintered refractory alloy. EGYESULT IZZOLAMPA ES VILLAMOSSAGI RESZVENYTARASAG. Dec. 15, 1967 [Dec. 21, 1966], No.57160/67. Headings C7A and C7D. A metallic body comprises:- the balance being a Group VI metal (i.e. Mo, W, Cr or U). The uneven valence additive is preferably at least one of the elements K, Li, Na and Rb and at least one of the elements Al, B, Ga and In and/or at least one of the elements As, Bi, N, P and Sb, and the Group VI metal is preferably Mo or W. The bodies are made by mixing appropriate compounds of the metals, reducing the mixture in hydrogen, pressing and sintering. They may then be hammered and drawn to form wire.
