[Also in Division B2] Tufted, needled or pile carpet fabrics are impregnated with an aqueous resin dispersion and the impregnated fabric passed through a squeeze mangle to provide an even distribution of the resin and then dried and cured by passing heated air therethrough. A latex backing may then be applied to the impregnated carpet fabric.
