Abstract

1,194,605. Angular bending. HAMMERLE A.G. 29 March, 1968 [31 March. 1967], No. 15244/68. Heading B3E. A hydraulic bending press with an interchangeable forming tool 4 is characterized in that the tool holder 2 carried by the press ram 1 is provided with a guide slot 5 for the forming tool which has a holding pin 9 at each end which are detachably connected to vertically adjustable holding plates 10 so that upon vertical displacement of said plates the tool engages in the guide slot and is firmly held in that position. Below the tool 4 is a rubber matrix 8 secured to the press table. Each holding plate is secured to a hydraulic piston 13 reciprocable in a cylinder 15 (Fig. 3) machined in a lifting unit 16 secured to the ram 1 by a lock gib 3. To change or rotate the tool 4 the piston 13 is allowed to descend whereupon the tool slides out of the guide slot and can be lifted by hand out of the grooves 21 in the holding plates. The procedure is reversed to re-assemble the tool.
