Abstract

1359905 Forging presses; stamping presses URALSKY ZAVOD TYAZHELOGO MASH INOSTOENIA IMENI SERGO ORDZHONIKIDZE USSR 1 March 1972 [17 March 1971] 9437/72 Headings B3H and B3Q [Also in Division B5] An hydraulic press comprises fixed upper and lower crosshead 1, 2, a set of working cylinders 5 fixed to the upper crosshead and a plate 3 joined by columns 16, 17 to the crossheads and provided with a central hole to guide a slide 9, Fig. 2, fixed to a movable crosshead 8 actuated by the cylinders. The slide carries a movable upper forging or stamping tool 15 which operates in conjunction with a fixed lower tool 14. The lower tool is mounted on a slidable table 10 movable by hydraulic cylinders 11. The forged or stamped article is ejected by an ejector on the press axis or externally of the press by ejectors 12. The hole in the plate 3 has wedgeshaped guides 22, Fig. 2, for the slide and the guides are adjustable by screws (not shown). The movable crosshead 8 is raised after a working stroke by cylinders 7 on the plate.
