Abstract

119,008. Ohlsson, O. May 3, 1918. Check or non-return valves.-A check valve particularly adapted for use as an air admission valve for an internalcombustion engine and of the type comprising an annular rim supported by radial spring arms has the rim of elongated shape, with the arms connected to the parts farthest distant from the central part or hub. In the form illustrated, the rim is rectangular with rounded carners and has the shorter sides connected by arms 2 with a central part 3 clamped in position by a bolt 5. The arms are provided with holes adapted to engage fixed guide-pins 11 and the rim which is constructed of stamped steel has a leather facing 8 riveted to it.
