Abstract

1,189,766. Sectional furniture. BIDDULPH INDUSTRIES Ltd. 4 Feb., 1969 [9 Feb., 1968], No. 6630/68. Headings A4H and A4J. A knockdown chair comprises a seat component 11 mounted upon an underframe having side members 15 and 16, a back-rest component 30 which is mounted on a frame having side members 32 and 33 at the ends of which are angle extensions 35 and 36 for telescopically connecting the back-rest to the seat and a pair of side leg units 58 which are secured to the assembled seat and back-rest by bolts such that the bolts are in a triangular array. The components may also comprise a table top (70) (Fig. 5, not shown) which is mounted on an underframe having four side members (71-74), an opposite pair of side members being provided with holes or sleeves for connecting the table to the underframe of the seat (Fig. 11, not shown).
