965,045. Tables; furniture joints. J. B. OLIVER. Oct. 29, 1962 [Aug. 24, 1962], No. 32580/62. Headings A4H and A4W. A collapsible table comprises a pair of inverted U-shaped leg units each having legs 2 and a cross-bar 4 forming the base of the U, and a table top 1 having secured to its underside a pair of bearer rails 3 disposed in parallel relation at or near opposite edges of the table top 1, the crossbars 4 being abutted against the ends of the rails 3 and secured thereto by bolts 5 extending through the cross-bars 4 and engaging in threaded sockets 6 in the ends of the rails 3, these rails 3 and preferably also the leg units 2, 4 being of square section metal tube.
