Circular-saw machines.-A machine for severing metal r o d s &c. into lengths comprises a spindle a carrying a number of spaced saws c and a workholder g which is provided with a clamp i and is pivoted on a gudgeon - pin f adapted to support the outer bearing e of the spindle a. The work-holder has a counterweighted arm g<2> and is adapted to be rocked to feed the work to the saws by means of a hand-lever i acting upon a cam-plate k. A lever l controlled by a spring m is adapted to engage teeth on the workholder to arrest it in any required position.
