Abstract

1,189,107. Fluid-pressure servomotor systems. DOWTY ROTOL Ltd. Sept.13, 1967 [Oct.3, 1966], No.44082/66. Addition to 1,103,502. Heading G3P. The pilot-operated valve according to the parent Specification is modified in that a non-return valve 37 is positioned in the main valve member 19 to preclude draining of chamber 29 and consequent opening of valve 19 when supply pressure in line 22 is lost. A ball 42 retained by pin 42a allows topping-up of chamber 29 to compensate for any leakage. The ball, suitably of nylon, may be denser or less denser than the liquid and may be solid or hollow and, in those cases where it is denser than the liquid, it may seat under gravity.
