Abstract

1,187,670. Hydraulic apparatus. U.S.M.C. INTERNATIONAL Ltd. Dec.17, 1968 [Dec.20, 1967], No.57815/67. Heading F1P. To reduce the amount of piping associated with a machine's hydraulically operated devices, the valves 6 controlling the devices are mounted on a common return conduit 1 having bore(s) therethrough which inter-connect the interior of the conduit with the exhaust port(s) of the valves. The return conduit 1, shown, is a rectangular tube having closed ends 2 and connected by a pipe 4 to a reservoir. Alternatively, the conduit may be a channel, the open side of which is blanked off by part of the machine. Mounting blocks 5 for the valves 6 are welded to the conduit 1 and passages extend from inlets and outlets in the upper and lower faces thereof to openings in the face with which the valve ports are registered. The valves are preferably conventional threeposition solenoid valves, Figs.2 and 3 (not shown).
