Abstract

1,187,144. Mole-plough. HUDSWELL YATES DEVELOPMENTS Ltd. 6 March, 1968 [10 March, 1967], No. 11287/67. Heading A1B. Mole plough apparatus includes a plough blade 10 with a tiltable portion 20 which enables the angle of the lowermost surface to be altered, whereby the vertical pressure thereon in use moves the mole plough to a new working depth. As shown in Fig. 1 the blade 10 has a wedge shaped tilting foot 20 pivotally attached at 21 to the blade and tilted by means of hydraulic ram 23 operating through rod 22. As shown in Fig. 3 a cylindrical mole 24, to which a mole foot 28 is pivotally attached, is rigidly connected to the blade 10 and the separation between the mole foot 28 and mole 24 is controlled by a pad or roller 26 operated by hydraulic ram 25. A hydraulic ram 30, Fig. 5, raises supporting beam 11 and blade 10 for transport and also supplies a controllable vertical pressure on the blade. The beam 11 is attached to a tracked carriage.
